JEWELRY CARE

Please take the time to properly store and care for your jewelry. Apply perfume, cosmetics or any other body treatments before putting on your jewelry and always remove prior to showering.

Sterling silver will naturally tarnish. For daily cleaning, wipe your silver jewelry with an anti-tarnish cloth. Light tarnish can also be removed by using a microfiber or soft 100% cotton cloth and buffed gently. You can clean and shine your sterling silver with a paste made of baking soda and water. Rub or use a new baby toothbrush with the paste, rinse and ensure it is dried thoroughly.   **Note: Do not use this method on pieces with softer stones and pearls as baking soda may cause damage to the stones **

Avoid wearing sterling silver while in a pool or hot tub and when using chlorine bleach.

Oxidized silver is sterling silver that has been specially treated to create a blackish colour. Over time, the colour may lighten a bit which is natural. DO NOT clean oxidized silver jewellery as you may strip off this finish.

Vermeil is an overlay of gold over a sterling silver base. Vermeil should be stored and cared for the same as sterling silver avoiding the same conditions and substances such as chlorine bleach, pools and hot tubs.

Gold-filled jewellery is composed of a solid layer of gold (at least 5% of the item’s total weight) mechanically bonded to the surface of sterling silver or other base metal by heat and pressure. GF is very durable, will not tarnish and is safe for anyone with metal allergies. Clean using mild soap and water. Please avoid exposure to chemicals or acids as this will damage the gold layers.

Storage When you're not wearing your pieces, store them in an airtight container or anti-tarnish bag away from extreme heat or moisture. Exercise care when putting on and removing jewellery and avoid putting heavy items on top of your jewellery when storing.
